YELLOWSTONE BOUND 3RD INSTALLMENT

It's 8:15 in the morning on Mother's Day and we are heading to Twin Fountains RV Park on the north side of Oklahoma City.  We have driven 384 miles and are ready to stop.

Next day we are up early and anxious to get on the road.  Our destination is Lincoln, NE to spend 3 days with Dave's mom.  She was so excited that we were stopping for 3 days, she didn't think she would see us until the fall.  Below is picture of Dave and his mom at Camp-Away RV Park.

Thursday 5/16 we head out to North Platte to spend the night on our way the Cheyenne, WY but there is a major storm headed for North Platte, so Dave decides he could keep going and make Cheyenne by 5:00 pm.  The storm had not gotten very bad at this point but we did encounter heavy winds of about 50mph and had to slow down to around 45 mph in order to maintain control of the rig.

We made it to Cheyenne without any problems and have been joined by our friends Judy and Carl Galloway.  They've never spent any time in Cheyenne, so today we played tourist.  We visited the Old West Museum and the Sierra Trading Outlet.  Ya know, ya can't going shopping and not buy anything.  The museum was packed full of carriages of all types.  Check out a few of our pictures.
